Sony has released details of the upcoming PS4 update 4.50, and it’s a big one.
One of the many new features is the ability to install games on external USB harddrives (up to 8TB is supported). Another feature that PS4 Pro users will love is a new “Boost Mode”, that makes regular PS4 games runs faster and better, even if they are not optimized for PS4 Pro.
Those with PS VR headsets will be able to watch 3D Blu-ray movies in VR, and Sony has finally made it possible to use screenshots taken in-game as wallpapers.
There’s also a whole bunch of smaller under-the-hood updates and tweaks that should make the PS4 run better.
The update will be released tomorrow for all PS4 users.
