Sony has announced that its massively successful PS4 console has shipped 57 million units worldwide as of December 2017.
The big increase is thanks to a great Holiday season for the PS4 — the new PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro both did well in the marketplace. In fact, the PS4 Pro did better than Sony anticipated. That’s according to company CFO Kenichiro Yoshida.
Overall gaming revenue increased and it still remains the biggest and most profitable division at Sony.
Sony still expects fiscal year PS4 sales to be at 20 million. The fiscal year ends on March 31st, 2017.
