Newly leaked presentation slides reveal a ton of information about the upcoming PS4 Neo console, including its specs and how Sony plans for it to support 4K gaming.
The slides were supposedly from a presentation that Sony made to developers regarding the PS4 Neo. They confirm the rumored specs: a CPU that’s slightly more powerful (1.3x faster) and a GPU that’s more than twice as powerful. Furthermore, the RAM will also run at a faster speed, up to 25% faster.
It’s also confirmed that when games run in “Neo mode”, with better visuals and/or in 4K, they have access to an extra 512 MB of memory, for a total of 5.5 GB.
Check out the slides below, where Sony also gives developers some tips on how to achieve 4K resolution for PS4 games.
