If you’ve had your eyes set on some Japanese video games, but don’t really want to fork up the money that some import sites charge, you’re in luck: Amazon Japan now ships internationally. This means you’ll be able to get your goods at a pretty decent price depending on the game and most importantly, the shipping should be pretty fast.
If you’re wondering what the catch is, well, in order to get something shipped internationally, the item has to be sold by Amazon and not fulfilled by them or sold by a third-party retailer. That stipulation might limit you on some items, but by and large, if you’re more interested in new releases than you are hard-to-find classics, you should still be good.
To get to shopping, you’ll need an Amazon Japan account (your regular account will not work, nor will your Prime membership) and if you can’t read Japanese, I’d suggest hitting the “in English” button found just below the search bar.
