A new rumor suggests that Sony is working to bring Crash Bandicoot back. The series was a massive hit on the original PlayStation, and was one of those games that helped make PlayStation into what it is today.
The rumor comes from toy maker NECA, whose director recently said that Sony will release a Crash Bandicoot game in the near future. NECA toys director Randy Falk recently said in an interview:
“Looking at some of their other titles, they’re looking at bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool”.
NECA and Sony have been in a partnership for a while, with NECA making toys based on Sony franchises, including Uncharted, God of War, Knack, and others.
The original Crash Bandicoot was released in 1996 on the PlayStation, and was a massive hit. It got a sequel in 1997, and another one in 1998. Over the years, several more games have been released, but none managed to capture the feel and charm of the original series.
