According to a South African retailer, a BioShock remaster is coming to the PS4. Retailer Raru, one of the most respected ones in South Africa, now lists “The BioShock Collection” for pre-order on the PS4 and Xbox One, a hint that 2K Games could bring the beloved franchise to the current generation of consoles.
The game logo used as placeholder for the box art comes from the original BioShock game and not BioShock Infinite. This could suggest perhaps that the remaster is of the first two games (BioShock 1 and 2), which take place at the underwater city of Rapture.
As for release date, the site lists November 27, 2015 as “expected release date”.
2K Games has already brought us the Borderlands games remastered to the PS4, bringing “Borderlands The Handsome Collection” to the PS4 earlier this year.
We wouldn’t be surprised if 2K Games released BioShock on the PS4 — it’s one of the best titles from the last console generation.
