Something PS4 owners have been clamoring for since the system’s launch last November are customization options including themes to make your XMB more personal. Well at Gamescom Sony announced System Software Update 2.0 which would bring SharePlay among other features to the platform.
As for the other features, it looks like one of those will be themes. The PlayStation Blog crew was discussing the update on the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast and 1 hour and 16 minutes into the episode, they announced that themes would be making their way to the PS4 in this update.
They didn’t share if this would mean dynamic themes or static themes, but themes in general will offer a nice break from the static blue background of the PS4’s XMB.
