When Swedish developer Image & Form launched Steamworld Dig last year on Nintendo 3DS, it saw runaway success to become the #1 downloadable title in the region. This eventually prompted a release on Steam, and now the team is looking to bring the steampunk mining platformer to both PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita. Players assume the role of Rusty, a robot who has inherited a broken down old mine from his uncle.
Players will explore the depths of the mine, digging out riches and avoiding perils, all while working to upgrade the various buildings in town so that the denizens there can help you further your journey to the center of the earth. The game is truly excellent and it will make a great fit on the PS Vita and the PlayStation 4.
Currently there’s no word of when the game will be released on either platform, or if it will have cross buy enabled so if you buy it once you get it both places, but we’ll keep you up to date when more information has been released.
