Amazon is one of the biggest online retailers in the world, and its UK division recently commented on the sales battle between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
The company rarely comments on these sort of things, out of fear of upsetting those who provide it with inventory. However, Amazon UK recently made a little exception to that.
Amazon UK’s Ketu Patel, head of the games and software sales, says that the sales difference between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on Amazon is “quite a big one”, adding that the Xbox One has “a lot of catching up to do”.
As of December 28, the official PlayStation 4 sales numbers are at 4.2 million units worldwide. The console has been outselling the Xbox One in pretty much every single territory.
Over 10 million PlayStation 4 games have been sold as well, as of December 28. Of course, those numbers should be substantially higher, as it’s been five weeks since Sony counted up sales.
