Pure Pool coming to PS4 in 2014 [VIDEO]

Pure Pool Break

VooFoo Studios and Ripstone Publishing are teaming up for another round of pure fun with Pure Pool, coming to the PS4 next year. The two companies previously came together to bring Pure Chess to the PS Vita and PS3 early last year. Like Pure Chess before it, Pure Pool aims to replicate the experience you’d find playing a real life game by giving players a beautiful arena to play in as well as some top-notch equipment.

Ripstone’s Creative Director, Phil Gaskell had this to say about working with VooFoo on the Pure series:

Hopefully the announcement of Pure Pool today demonstrates that we’re working hard with VooFoo to build a strong family of Pure games, and there’s more to come. What’s important though is the expectation gamers will have, titles like Pure Chess and Hustle Kings are visually stunning and we’re aiming to help VooFoo deliver a world class game in Pure Pool that I hope will go beyond those expectations and really blow people’s minds!

As you can see from the trailer, Gaskell is quite right — the pool balls look very real. VooFoo previously worked on Hustle Kings, another pool game with gorgeous graphics and top-notch gameplay so we’re confident that Pure Pool is in good hands. We’re excited to see what other Pure games VooFoo might have in store for Sony’s newest console in the future. For now, check out the trailer, and maybe even pick up Pure Chess to get your Bobby Fischer on.
