Shuhei Yoshida confirms Sony is investigating issues with pre-launch PlayStation 4 units


Yesterday we saw reports that a few pre-launch PlayStation 4 units were experiencing some problems. Kotaku received a faulty review unit and had to request a new one, while instances of PlayStation 4 winners from the Taco Bell promotion have hinted at problems with the 4,000 units given away during that promotion.

Shuhei Yoshida was quick to take to Twitter and address the issue, letting people know if they are currently having problems with their PlayStation 4, Sony is working on them.

    I believe so too because most of the consoles that I’ve heard came mostly from Tacobell which to be honest.. I’m not surprised. The bastards probably tried to feed the bloody thing Doritos and Mountain Dew in the vein attempt on creating a PS4/Xbox One Hybrid… but all they got was an Xbox 360.

    My pre-order is coming in tomorrow it seems all the bad units came from the same reign hopefully it was a bad batch pallet may have been dropped or maybe Taco-bell gave them the Soup Poops i dealt with the RROD 3 times with Microsoft really not wanting to have to deal with more system returns
