Here’s some common PS4 errors being encountered and how to fix them

psn-error-ps4-launch

Since the launch of the PlayStation 4 last Friday, we’ve seen numerous errors popping up that are a string of numbers, but not many details are provided in what to do. You have to look up the error code on Sony’s website and hopefully they’ll have a knowledge guide that helps you fix the error. They’ve since released a page that details the most common errors experienced while using the PS4, so if you’re encountering PS4 errors, check this list for help.

What would be super helpful is if the issue could be printed on the screen too. The console knows what the issue is, couldn’t they have put that in there too? It’s way more helpful to see: “An error has occurred. The program you were using has crashed. Please re-launch the application and if the problem persists contact the vendor. Error #: CE-34878-0″

I agree, the error messages you get when something occurs on the console are not helpful at all. Having to search a string of numbers and hoping to find something isn’t something we should have to do in 2013.

It would be helpful if they did’nt happen at all hahaha. but things happen Sony will make things more stable and maybe if enough people ask theyll add in writing on the screen what the error is in the script

I dunno if this was explained but there are two update files: a 400mb and a 1GB version. The 400mb is meant for a regular update to an already existing PS4 software on the hard drive, while the 1GB is meant for a new installation of hard drive (or system in general). I had many friends encounter this and it was because they tried using the 400mb on a new installed hard drive.

Most of these are common solutions for all kinds of devices. 90% of the time, just reboot/reinstall or reset something.

Found another code worth looking at. Seems to be very common.
