Knack was the very first PlayStation 4 game to be showcased, back in February during the PlayStation 4 unveiling. Sony’s Mark Cerny, who’s also the lead architect on the PS4 console, is developing Knack as a fun adventure game.
In the latest issue of GameInformer magazine, which has a huge, 30-page PlayStation 4 special, some new Knack details have emerged.
“Knack”, the main character, was created by a scientist with tons of little crystals, and can change his shape and abilities. As the player progresses, more and more crystals are added and Knack grows larger and has more abilities. Knack can feature up to 5,000 of these crystals.
The gampeplay in Knack is a mix of melee fighting and 3D platforming, and the visuals are very casual and cartoony. Knack is a PlayStation 4 launch title, and will be available when the console launches this Fall.
We hope to see more of Knack at E3 this year, where Sony’s big PlayStation 4 E3 press conference kicks off on June 10.
