When Sony formally announced the PlayStation 4 back in February, they revealed a whole bunch of online features. But they didn’t mention whether players will be able to transfer their current PS3 trophies to the PlayStation 4.
Game analyst Michael Pachter believes it will be possible. In the latest episode of his show PachAttack, he says that Sony will revamp the PlayStation Network with new infrastructure and features, and will ultimately allow PS3 players to transfer their Trophies to the PlayStation 4.
However, Pachter believes that this feature will only be possible if gamers purchase PlayStation Plus. Sony will be pushing the subscription model with the PlayStation 4, and those opting for the free version won’t be able to transfer their Trophies. At least, that’s what Pachter imagines.
Check out the episode below, where Pachter goes into detail about PlayStation Network and PlayStation Plus, and how they might work on the PlayStation 4 console.
