Blacklight Retribution playstation 4

Zombie Studios have announced that their popular indie game Blacklight Retribution will be coming to the PlayStation 4. Blacklight Retribution is a free to play shooter released on the PC, and has been quite successful so far. No specific PS4 release date was mentioned by the developer, although they’re hoping to release by the end of 2013.

The game is free to play, and is supported by micro-transactions, where players can purchase new items such as guns, armor, equipment, and more. The PlayStation 4 version will get the same revenue model, where players will be able to download the game for free and play, while those wanting more will be able to purchase more.

Blacklight Retribution is the first free-to-play game to be announced on the PlayStation 4, and will be a download-only title. It’s unknown if the game will carry the same prices on the PlayStation 4 as on the PC. On Steam, players can purchase different “packs”, ranging from $10 all the way to $100.

Looks more like its PS3 counter part than an actual PS4 game.

I’m looking forward to this, BL:R is a cool game. No mini-map, but instead everyone has a temporary wall-hack ability, and the game also happens to have one of the best weapon customization systems out there. I hope it will have online split-screen support. It’s a mindless shooter like Call of Duty, but it goes back to basics; no over-powered killstreaks, and a bigger emphasis on player skill.
